The Four-denomination Chinese Work Committee of NCCS will hold a seminar on “Local Roots, Vision Worldwide – Sustainable Development of Chinese-speaking Churches” (立足本地۰放眼世界 – 华文教会持续发展研讨会). Details of the seminar are:

DPM Gan Kim Yong will be the Guest of Honour and speaker. The keynote speakers include Archbishop Dr Titus Chung, Rev Dr Caleb Soo and Rev Dr Lim Teck Peng. This seminar aims to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Chinese-speaking churches in the context of Singapore’s national bilingual policy. The seminar is designed to:
- Encourage local Chinese-speaking churches to collaborate in nurturing the Chinese-as-a-Second-Language generation.
- Generate awareness about the developmental opportunities of Chinese-speaking churches worldwide, and the contributions churches in Singapore can make.
- Share practical experiences and ideas in ministering to the CSL generation, and relevant programmes that are creative and forward-looking.
The workshops in the afternoon will explore practical ideas to teach and nurture the new generation of bilingual Christians.
