NCCS Logo

The National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) unveils
a new logo on the occasion of its 50th Anniversary Celebrations.
It replaces the familiar image of the umbrella upheld by a cross,
which emphasised the mission of NCCS as a fellowship of Christian
churches dedicated to unity and mutual encouragement. While
NCCS continues this vital work of fostering understanding within the
Christian community and with society at large, it now embraces an
expanded role of representing Christians in the public square.

The new logo projects the name of the National Council of Churches
of Singapore as a distinctive organisation from those that may share
its acronym. The vibrant red colour mirrors the hues of the Singapore
flag and serves to remind the Christian community of its continuing
contribution to nation-building. The word ‘Church’ is highlighted to
distinguish the identity of our Christian organisation.

The gold-coloured cross, adorned with vertical and horizontal lines,
stands as a timeless symbol of the completed work of Jesus Christ,
the Head of the Church. The artistic design of the cross signifies
the dynamic ministry and service of the Church, illustrating its
unwavering relevance and enduring impact across the generations.

On this auspicious Golden Jubilee of the National Council of
Churches of Singapore, we present this new logo as an emblem of
God’s grace and providence over our Church and Nation. It is also a
call to Christians to renew themselves with purpose and passion ‘to
love our neighbours as we love ourselves’ (Matthew 22:39).
