[Introduction message by Rev Dr Ngoei Foong Nghian, GS NCCS]

New Members  The National Council of Churches of Singapore welcomes three new members into its family.  At its General Committee meeting held on 23 October, the Council admitted into its membership three Associate Members (two organisations and a church).  We would like to introduce them to the Christian community.

  • Operation Mobilisation Singapore (OM Singapore) is part of a global Christian mission movement in over 110 countries, dedicated to seeing vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached.  OM Singapore: “We inspire and equip believers in Singapore to live missionally — whether through short-term or long-term service overseas, local outreach among migrant workers, or by partnering with churches to nurture a heart for missions”.  OM Singapore also supports the well-known OM Ships ministry, bringing knowledge, help, and hope to communities worldwide.  More details in website
  • Our Father’s World (OFW) is a mission organisation seeking to inspire and equip the Church to love and care for God’s creation.  Founded in 2020 by a group of Christian young adults across the denominational spectrum, OFW hopes to inspire the Christian community to love our Creator and creation through education and experiential engagement, equip churches to make disciples that care for creation through resources and consultancy, and empower changemakers locally and regionally through training and networking.  According to OFW: “We are a non-profit organisation registered in Singapore and focused on Southeast Asia.  We are board-governed and staff-led, with a core team comprising a paid Executive Director and a team of committed volunteers.  We are also guided by an Advisory Council, with members of local and international Christian leaders across diverse sectors”.  More information about OFW can be found here writeup/website
  • Living Hope Evangelism (LHE) began as a small weekly prayer fellowship which, through a series of divinely provided spaces, grew into a registered ministry.  Central to its journey was a powerful healing service where many experienced miraculous healings, and the congregation steadily grew despite challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, which it navigated with hybrid services.  As God faithfully provided, LHE relocated progressively to larger premises, increasing its congregation and outreach which includes significant food distribution and community events for residents, celebrating its growth and God’s continuous blessings.  More details here writeup/website

Celebrate Christmas in Singapore (CCIS)  God has been merciful in the past 21 years as CCIS has been holding forth the Gospel of God Incarnate in Jesus Christ, born to be the Saviour of the world.  We look to Him through you as we once again present this saving news at Orchard Mall on 16 – 22 December 2025.  Following our two fund raising events i.e. a movie Matinee ‘King of Kings’ on 29 March and fund raising Dinner on 9 September, we are still very short of the budget of $350.000.  We pray that local churches, denominations, individuals and commercial entities will support this annual ministry of CCIS.

The Registrar of Marriages (ROM) has plans to go digital for this year’s New Application process for the Licence to Solemnise Marriages in Singapore.  ROM is currently in the midst of testing this new digital platform.  Please write to NCCS at [email protected] by December to ensure that you do not miss ROM’s annual application exercise.
